It’s Okay Not to Be Okay: Finding Creativity in the Chaos
Sometimes, you have to remind yourself that it’s okay not to be okay. When I’m not feeling my best, I step away and create something… anything. I lose myself in the process, and often, that’s when my biggest ideas come to life.
Mental health is talked about more now than ever before. But when I was growing up, the norm was to "keep things to yourself." I was one of those people. I put on a front, even when I felt broken inside, especially when dealing with grief.
That’s why I work the way I do. Creativity encourages conversation and gives you space to be unapologetically yourself. Speak your truth. You might not only help yourself but also give someone else the courage to release the weight they’ve been carrying for years.
